10/01/2024 – For sale is a G98M Mauser made at the Amberg Arsenal in 1918. The rifle originally was a G98 but was updated to a G98M for the Weimar Era. The Langevisier rear sight was replaced with a more modern tangent sight. The rifle is in nice condition overall but the bolt, receiver, and barrel bands have been re-blued. The stock has been repaired at the top of the buttplate and there is a 2 inch crack below it. The stock has also been sanded. The bolt matches the receiver but we believe to be re-numbered. The bore is fairly bright with good rifling. The leather sling is in great condition but is a little stiff. The bayonet is in good condition but does not come with a scabbard.
