9/25/24 – This is an original German RDK (Reichsbund der Kinderreichen) membership badge. This translates to, “Reich’s Union of Large Families” (or “Reich’s League of those wealthy in children”) and was awarded to families with at least 4 children. This group began in 1933 as the Nazi Party’s goal was to promote and preserve large Aryan families. The badge is in excellent condition with enameled paint and copper metal underneath. The reverse shows traces of original finish but natural patina throughout. Maker stamped with a script logo and “Ges Gesch.” above the pin. The pin is functional and original. Non-magnetic throughout.
