9/16/24 – This is a very nice example of a BYF 41 “Black Widow” Mauser Luger issued to the German military in 1941. This one is a scarce variation of the BYF 41 with “Eagle 135” proofs instead of “Eagle 655” proofs. It is all matching and fitted with an excellent set of original “Black Widow” bakelite grips. It comes as a rig with two black widow magazines, a very nice 1941-dated black leather holster, and an “Eagle 63” marked tool. The original finish rates about 90%. There is general high edge wear and wear around the muzzle. A few small dots of wear along the barrel, and some minor dulling on the grip straps. The bore has pretty good rifling, but there is noticeable freckling in the grooves.
