9/5/24 – This is an original WW2 production Johnson M1941 Rifle Bayonet. The bayonet comes with an original leather scabbard in near-excellent condition. The bayonet features a parkerized finish except for the underside of the base, which is blued (correct). These are famously issued to the USMC with only a short production run. The bayonet blade is triangular shaped with a pointed tip and measures about 11.75 inches overall. The blade is about 7.5 inches and shows light aging and mild use wear along the edges. The round muzzle ring is number stamped “1387”, and there are no other markings. The leather scabbard has light surface wear but is otherwise excellent with original brass closure knob and all original stitching intact.
