9/4/24 – This is a great example of an original German-Austria Anschluss medal. These medals were awarded during the interwar period by the NSDAP. The medal is in great condition and features its original ribbon. The scene stamped into the medal is still very proud and easily recognizable. The reverse of the medal is in just as great shape as the front, and the writing stamped into the medal is strong and still legible. The medal comes in it’s original box, the box has a few scuffs, but overall is in great condition. These medals were instituted on May 1, 1938 to commemorate the annexation of Austria into the German Reich.
