9/4/24 – This is a very nice example of a Swedish Mauser M38 rifle issued to the Swedish military in 1941. This one is all matching, except for the front barrel band. The number on the butt plate appears to be an arsenal over stamp. It has the proper “Crown” Swedish military proofs throughout, and comes with an original cleaning rod and leather sling. Faint import mark on the bottom of the muzzle. The gun has retained the majority of its finish, and rates approximately 98%. The stock is nice and is properly “Crown”-proofed just behind the trigger guard. There are just minor dings and scratches throughout. The bore is great with strong rifling and rates an 8 of 10..
