9/1/24 – This is an original 1942 luger holster. This holster features some excellent+ condition brown leather that has little signs of wear, no heavy cracking or wrinkling as seen on most 1942 holsters, only some minor spots of it by the toe and bottom edge but nothing on the closure flap. A strong intact closure strap with a very clean interior and spare tool pouch. The backside of the holster is maker marked and dated, “dta 42” with a Waffen eagle 195 stamp, and a small P.08 stamp on the right side which is period correct for this holster. All the stitching around the holster is original and fully intact other than on the belt loops. This stitching appears to have been reinforced as seen in the photos and the left side bottom is coming loose but still intact. Other than this it is an excellent holster. Overall Great++ condition.
