8/28/24 – This is an excellent condition WW2 German Pilot Flying Helmet or Flight Cap. The helmet comes complete with original comms gear intact. The cap is constructed of tan cloth with silk interior liner. The interior ears are wool and the exterior earphones are covered in original leather. Beautiful condition throughout with all snaps, buckles, and buttons intact. Excellent stitching throughout as well. The interior ear covers show some mild staining from use. The original manufacturer tags are still intact, with the main tag reading, “SIEMENS Ln 26617 Baumuster LKp S 101”. On this tag, there’s also a date stamp in ink, “28 Jull 1939”. The plastic portion of each interior ear cup is stamped, “Ln 26602”. The original leather chinstrap is intact and excellent, as is the integrated throat microphone, which comes from the back of the visor and wraps around the neck of the user. Beautiful reddish brown bakelite covering and black exterior which reads, “Mi 4b Ln. 26779-2” on each piece. Excellent, minty buttons and leather wrapping. The wiring is complete throughout as shown.
