08/26/2024 – For sale is a gorgeous Type 44 Arisaka cavalry carbine. These carbines were mainly used by the mounted cavalry fighting in the Chinese theater. This carbine is in fantastic condition with a gorgeous bluing remaining from the factory. This carbine looks like it had been in a warehouse and avoided combat all together. The stock is in great condition buthas plenty of handling marks and pressure dents. There are some scratches and very minor chips missing on some of the edges. The carbine has matching numbers but the bolt and safety knob has the serial numbers overstamped over different non-matching numbers. Photos have been included. The rifle retains its original Imperial Mum. The bore is very bright with good rifling.
