08/20/2024 – For sale is a very early Springfield M1 Garand made in 1938. The rifle is in great condition overall with a nice, old parkerized finish on the metal but there are many spots of wear visible, especially towards the top of the receiver. The stock is in good condition without any major breaks but plenty of dents and scratches with a faint SA stamp visible on the left side. The bore is fully frosted over but fairly bright with good rifling. The barrel had been replaced by a Springfield barrel made in 1946. The muzzle erosion rates a 4.5, and a throat erosion of 3. The rifle comes with a foam lined CMP Case.
