8/13/24 – This is an excellent example of a Colt Model 1911A1 manufactured in 1943. It is all-correct, has the proper “United States Property” marking, and the proper US military cross-canon cartouche. This one, however, has British proofs throughout, indicating it was part of the WW2 British Lend-Lease Program. Proper Colt barrel with a large “G” under the lug. The slide is numbered and matching. It has retained about 97% of its parkerized finish. While there is very little finish loss, there are some scratches and marks on the right side of the slide. Fitted with period-correct grips and comes with a proper “L” marked magazine. The bore has strong rifling with light pin-pricking in the grooves.
