8/9/24 – This is a minty example of an AC 45 Walther P.38 made at the very end of WW2. This is a GI mismatched gun, put together by an American GI when the Walther factory was liberated. All of the parts are mismatched and in the proper “c” serial blocks, correct for this variation. It also only has one “Eagle 359” military acceptance proof on the right side of the slide, indicating it was never issued. It has a mixture of phosphate and blued parts, also correct for this variation. The hammer is unfinished. This one has retained nearly all of its original finish with just hints of wear around the muzzle and on the front edges of the slide. Excellent reddish bakelite grips. Comes as a rig with a generic tan leather shoulder holster and two rare, late-war, “U” marked magazines. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional.
