08/09/2024 – For sale is a Type 99 Arisaka made by the Nagoya Arsenal during WW2. This rifle was likely a bring back by a GI as it looks straight from the battlefields of the Pacific. The rifle retains the majority of its original bluing but is browning with age. The rifle retains its full Imperial Mum. The rifle is also matching throughout but missing the dust cover. The stock has a lot of chattering and dings from wear and handling and being banged around. There is a semi-deep gouge in the stock at the recoil lug and the rear sling swivel. The stock is missing a chip above the trigger guard on the right side. The bore is bright with good rifling, but it is getting darker towards the muzzle. The monopod is reproduction. The type 30 bayonet is made by National Denki under supervision of Kokura.
