7/23/24 – This is an original WW2 T90 Japanese Army Combat Helmet. This is an excellent, high-end example with an original liner and chinstrap. The helmet shell features ~95% of the original olive painted finish with visible brush strokes around the exterior rim “headband”. The front star decal is secure with minimal “play” or wiggle, and light paint loss around the edges. The shell has no dents or notable issues, and the interior shell is kanji marked for size Large. The leather liner headband is excellent, as are the three liner pads. Ink stamped on the underside of the front liner pad. Excellent stitching and clean, strong leather throughout. The back seam of the liner band is separated, but this doesn’t affect fit or function, near this seam is a matching kanji marking imprinted into the leather (faint, but shown in last photo). The canvas webbing style chinstrap is all original and excellent with proper sized retaining rings. A textbook example, all original and complete; hard to find in this condition!
