7/23/24 – This is an original WW2 German M35 Heer Army Stahlhelm. The helmet is in very good overall condition with an original leather liner and chinstrap. The helmet shell exterior shows honest patina and light discoloration. The left side of the exterior has a Heer Army decal, which is mostly worn away and only about 10-15% of the decal remains. The interior shell shows similar patina throughout and has a name painted inside, “Uffz Harold”. This matches the name written on the leather liner, which helps authenticate the liner as original to the shell. The left-ear side of the shell is maker and size stamped, “NS64” for Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke. The shell has no dents and retains all of the original rivets and vent holes. The leather liner is in great condition with natural discoloration and strong leather with normal pliability. The chinstrap is broken at the fastening buckle, as shown in photos. The broken-off piece is included however, and the rest of the chinstrap is completely intact. A very good, honest example with aging that’s common for these early M35 helmets that saw heavy use during WW2.
