7/9/24 – This is a nice example of a Remington Rand 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1945. It was sold to the American public through the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP). It comes with its original CMP Certificate of Authenticity, owners manual, CMP Pelican-style case, gun lock, one post-war magazine, one period-correct magazine, a spare set of grips, and a spare barrel. Inside the gun is a proper High Standard barrel. A few of the gun’s small parts have been replaced. It has retained roughly 85% of its finish with honest wear throughout. Two white paint marks on the underside of the frame. Fitted with period-correct reddish plastic grips. The bore has great rifling with some minor pin-pricking in the grooves.
