6/20/24 – This is a very nice example of an original, Army-issued Colt 1911 from 1918. The pistol shows only minor finish loss on the high edges around the muzzle and front of the frame, with a little more on the mainspring housing. There is some patina and minor oxidation in a few areas, with the patina most notable on the front strap. Proper barrel with disconnected ‘H P’ markings and an excellent bore. Nice wood grips with no cracks or chips. Correct two-tone magazine.
