06/19/2024 – For sale is an Ithaca Model 1911A1 made in 1945. This handgun has an overall 80% finish remaining with many spots of finish loss either from wear or some kind of chemical. The frame has spots of finish loss that look like some kind of chemical was applied to them. The front of the grip is well worn. The underside of the frame also has spots of oxidation. The right side of the slide also has spots of oxidation and finish loss from a chemical. The bore is bright with great rifling but there are streaks on the lands from being fired. The barrel is stamped HS for High Standard and the slide is made by Remington Rand. There is a rebuild number on the right side below the serial number. Comes with a commercial magazine and is stamped “Colt 45 Auto” on the bottom.
