6/17/24 – This is a mint example of a Walther P.38 made at the very end of WW2, in 1945. It is all matching (hard to find) and only has one “Eagle 359” military proof on the right side of the slide, indicating that it was never actually issued to the military before the Walther factory was liberated. The left side of the frame has an “Eagle 140” proof, indicating that this gun has a rare FN-made frame. It has proper late-war features such as phosphate small parts and a cog-style hammer. The magazine even has a phosphate mag bottom and follower. Just a beautiful example of an end-of-war gun. It has retained virtually all of its original finish with one small spot of discoloration around the muzzle. Like-new bore. De-cocker is functional.
