5/30/24 – This is a minty example of a Walther PP manufactured at the end of the war in 1945. This is a GI mismatched gun put together by an American GI at the very end of the war. It has no proof marks, indicating it was never issued and never made it out of the Walther factory. It properly has no slide legend and has an “ac” Walther factory code on the right side of the slide. The gun itself has retained about 95% of its original finish. The only finish loss is on the trigger guard. Since these were inherently put together from parts, they probably just grabbed one that was not in great condition. The gun is fitted with excellent late-war wood grips and comes with a rare, end-of-war, phosphate “W” marked magazine. Mint bore. The gun only works in double action, and the de-cocker doesn’t work – it’s very common for these end-of-war guns to have mechanical issues.
