5/25/24 – This is an original 1944 production soft-shell style P.38 holster from WW2. This example is in minty, unissued condition with clean leather and excellent all-original stitching intact. The interesting feature on this example is the “shadow” or double-stamped markings on the backside leather. There’s crisply struck versions of the “gxy 1944” and “P.38” stamps, but slightly to the right of each marking is a much fainter, 2nd set of stamps. An interesting late-war production flaw.
