5/14/24 – This is a very nice example of a rare Walther PPK issued to the Nazi military in 1940. It is a first-variation waffen-proofed gun, characterized by the earlier “Eagle 359” proofs, early high polish finish, and the proof on the slide is near the tang. Only about 3,500 of this variation were produced, and only a handful of those are observed with the proof at the rear of the slide! This one is all matching and comes as a rig with an un-marked black leather PP holster and two period-correct magazines (one of the mags has a post-war finger extension). The gun’s original high polish finish rates somewhere between 85-90% with muzzle wear and minor spotty wear along both sides of the slide. Fitted with a brown grip – crack in the spine. Minty bore.
