5/9/24 – This is a minty Finnish Mosin Nagant M39, manufactured in 1942 and chambered in 7.62x54mmR. The M39 was an improvement over the other Finnish Mosin predecessors, and they are considered to be the finest and most accurate Mosin Nagant rifles ever made. This one features a scarce iridescent plum barrel, one of only 8000 produced! Finnish “SA” marking on the barrel. This one is mismatched, has an import mark on the barrel, and has an added serial number on the receiver. Almost no actual finish loss. Minty wood. The bore has good rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout.
