5/8/24 – This is an original, early WW2 US M1 Helmet and Liner. The helmet shell features swivel bales and a seam on the rear visor. The front interior of the shell is stamped “54” with an “S” underneath. These markings are faint but visible with proper lighting. The shell is maker stamped by Westinghouse on the interior crown. Great overall condition with a minor hairline crack in the back of the liner. Interior canvas has normal use and age wear. Some interior writing on the liner from the Veteran. Includes an original canvas chinstrap attached as well. A very nice, early WW2 example.
