5/7/24 – This is an original WW1 Imperial Luger Stock. The stock comes with attached leather fittings; the top flap, secure strap / loop, and the base cup. The leather shows mild surface wrinkling and scuffing from previous use and age. The leather is completely intact however with original metal fittings. The cup has some loose stitches but the interior leather (pink colored) is still attached to the exterior layer of leather. The backside of the exterior cup is maker stamped and dated, “Maury & Co. 1915”. The top flap has a small imperial proof stamp. The attaching-end of the stock retains most of the original blued finish and is serial numbered “7529 f”. The release lever is fully functional and has surface patina throughout. The wood has no cracks or chips. The backside of the wood has a faint outline of the original Imperial proof stamp, but the details of this stamp has mostly raised out of the wood with natural aging. A great example overall that’s very well marked.
