4/18/24- This is an original WW1 era cut bayonet for the model 1903 Springfield rifle. The bayonet is cut to a 10 inch blade. The blade has it’s original finish with a sharpened edge, some very light patina throughout the right side of the blade. Maker stamped by Springfield Armory with a 1908 date stamp on one side and “US 321595” on the other. Nice original black handle and typical patina throughout the metal fittings. The scabbard is in excellent shape and is US stamped with the flaming bomb. The scabbards locking mechanism fully engages as it should.
