4/9/24 – This is a very nice example of a rare Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1942. It is a first-year Mauser production, where only 19,000 of these were made, making it only slightly more common than the zero series or Nazi-marked svw 45’s. This one is matching and has the proper “Eagle 135” military proofs. It has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its finish. There is wear around the muzzle, general high edge wear, some spots of wear on both sides of the slide, and thinning on the front strap. Fitted with blackish-brown bakelite grips and comes with an “Eagle 135” marked Mauser magazine. Excellent bore. De-cocker is functional.
