4/5/24 – This is an original WW1 US M1917 Trench Knife. The knife comes with an original scabbard and in great overall condition. The blade has dark finish throughout with some mild finish loss on the tip, along with minimal scabbard rub wear. Beautiful condition blade and edges. The hand guard is maker stamped and dated on the top. There’s spotty surface patina and mild discoloration throughout the hand guard and triangular-shaped spikes. Excellent wood handle with no cracks or chips. The scabbard has excellent finish throughout with some mild surface aging but no major issues. Properly marked and maker stamped “Jewell 1918”.
