04/02/2024 – For sale is an early WW2 M1 Garand made in 1941 at the Springfield Arsenal. This M1 Garand is well worn and in great condition. The parkerized finish is present but worn smooth. The Stock is clean and free of cracks or damage. The left side of the stock is stamped “SA” and the cross cannons. The barrel is stamped “SA 12-41.” Stock has the cartouche but it is faint as stock may have been lightly sanded. Early flush nut sight. The rifle looks (what we believe) mostly correct for the time as we compare it to another rifle that is 621 numbers off in “The M1 Garand Serial Numbers & Data Sheets” by Scott A. Duff. The rifle has many of the same drawing and heat lot numbers. The bore is excellent and bright but does get frosted towards the muzzle.
