3/27/24 – This is an excellent example of a “duv 44” K.43 rifle, manufactured by Berlin Lubecker and issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is a super rare variation as highlighted by Darrin Weaver in Hitler’s Garands. This is an “i” block with a K43 marking on the receiver, Darren Weaver ranked this as 5th on his rarest variations list in Hitler’s Garands, it was when DUV was changing from G43 to K43 on the receiver marking, most are G43 marked but this is a K marked example. All matching with the proper military proofs throughout. The stock is also matching with crisp waffen proofs on the butt stock. The finish on the metal parts rates about 95% with minor muzzle wear, thinning on the barrel band, and some very light freckling on the barrel. Excellent wood stock. The bore has good rifling with some minor corrosion in the grooves. Comes with one proper magazine.
