3/26/24 – This is an original WW2 German Party Leader Visor Cap. The cap features an original chord chin strap, RZM tag on the exterior and interior, and beige colored piping which indicates “Kreisleiter”, which is a county level political leader. The visor cap is in great overall condition with nice exterior twill and headband. There’s some mild staining around the edge of the top crown, as shown in photos. This is natural aging and there are no moth holes. The front eagle emblem and oak leaf front plate are both original with natural surface patina and oxidation throughout. The front plate is slightly loose as one of the attachment pins is missing. However the plate is still secure and in place. The RZM tag attached to the chin strap is worn and fragile. Interestingly, the RZM number on the exterior tag does not match the number on the interior tag. The interior headband is cracking and fragile leather, but the original RZM tag is found underneath this leather headband, shown in photos. The interior celluloid and silk lining is missing, as shown. The original size ink stamp “55” is still present. Nice quality visor with some minimal surface wear.
