3/19/24 – This is a nice example of a Spanish Mauser Model 1916 Rifle. Maker marked in 1922 from the Spanish Oviedo Arsenals. The gun is matching, except for the bolt. However, the bolt does match itself. Spanish crest on the chamber and dated 1922. There isn’t much actual finish loss, but there is noticeable patina throughout. The stock is in great condition – just minor dings here and there. The bore is shiny with strong rifling and minor frosting. Smooth action. Fully functional. Includes a black leather sling.
