3/14/24 – This is a rare Springfield Model 1911 issued to the US military during WWI. WW2-era “HS” marked High Standard barrel. It comes as a rig with a 1943-dated holster, lanyard, and a correct magazine. The entire gun has been refinished. There is very little actual bluing loss, but there are areas of light pin-pricking throughout and some small pits on the front strap. Fitted with period-correct wood grips. Excellent bore with great rifling.
