3/11/24 – This is an excellent example of a Colt 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1944. It was reworked at the Rock Island Arsenal, as evidenced by the “RIA” marking on the right side of the frame. “HS” marked High Standard barrel. Its finish rates about 95% with very minor high edge wear and some wear on the front strap. Fitted with excellent period-correct reddish plastic grips. Comes with a “C-R” marked magazine. Mint bore.
