3/8/24 – This is a scarce, early National Postal Meter M1 Carbine from 1943. Most of the visible markings are correct. We did not disassemble all the internals, so we will say It’s nearly 100% correct. We have determined the following parts are correct. Trigger and trigger housing, recoil plate, front and rear sights, front barrel band and swivel, correctly marked high wood stock. The barrel is also marked correctly with maker stamp “Buffalo Arms” and dated October of 1943. The finish is original throughout with a nice patina. Bore is great with strong rifling and rates a 9 of 10. The stock is in good condition with no cracks. Includes three, 15 round magazines manufactured by Union hardware, magazine pouch, original WWII sling and muzzle cover.
