03/04/2024 – For sale is a great condition Springfield trapdoor Model 1884 made in 1892. The rifle has the rare rod bayonet where the cleaning rod can be extended and locked as a bayonet. The finish on the rifle is clean and free of rusting or active pitting. The bluing on the metal has faded away and been replaced with patina. The wood stock is clean and free of any major breaks. The toe of the stock has some small cracks. The bore is mirror bright and excellent for its age.
