3/1/24 – This is an original WW2 German Africa Corps Army Pith Helmet. The helmet is in near-excellent condition and all original. The exterior features a dark green felt that’s clean throughout with no holes, but the crown has a very minor indent as shown in photos. The decals are both secure and in great condition with natural patina. All original leather chinstrap has mild surface wrinkling but is strong. The leather liner around the brim is completely intact as well. The interior liner is very clean and well marked, as shown in photos. The leather headband is maker marked “M” and the interior of the brim is ink stamped for the date (1942) and large size (57). A very desirable Heer DAK helmet.
