2/28/24 – This is an excellent example of a Colt Official Police Revolver from 1940. It is matching but has British proofs. According to the included Colt Factory Letter, it was shipped to the British Purchasing Commission in July of 1940, along with 600 other guns. It’s original high polish finish rates about 96% with minor muzzle wear, some high edge wear on the cylinder, light freckling on the frame, and some tiny scratches and handling marks throughout. Fitted with nice period-correct wood grips. Mint bore.
