1/31/24 – This is a nice example of a First Generation Colt Single Action Army Revolver from 1898. Chambered in .45 Colt with a 4.75″ barrel. It is all matching and has retained roughly half of its original finish. The majority of the finish loss is on the frame, where the original case-hardening is worn. Brown patina on the grip straps. There is light spotty oxidation and pin-pricking covering most of the gun. Fitted with black hard rubber Colt grips. The bore is mostly shiny with strong rifling – just some light freckling here and there. Fully functional with a great action.
