1/26/24 – This is an original 1941 dated K98 bayonet with an original matching numbered scabbard. The bayonet is in Excellent+ overall condition, with a minty condition blade. Most of the blades original finish remains with some light scabbard wear on the tip and no signs of sharpening along the edge. The base of the blade and scabbard are marked “41ddl” and “4413g”. Light wear on the left side of the hand guard and oxidation on the right side of the pommel. A nice original grip. The scabbard has excellent finish with most of its original bluing. There is a minor dent on the right side of the scabbard but still fits the blade nicely. Both the tip of the scabbard, pommel, and release button are inspector marked “WaA883.” Overall this is an excellent example.
