01/23/2024 – For sale is a Model 1917 revolver issued to the US Army during WW1. The serial number of this revolver places the date of manufacture as August 1918. The handgun is in great shape for its age and retains its bluing. The bottom of the barrel is stamped “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” and the right side has proof stamps. The bore is very bright and in good shape. The cylinder does not match the frame and the grips are commercial replacements.
