1/15/24 – This is an excellent example of an Arisaka Type 44 issued to the Japanese military during WW2. This One is mismatched and has a defaced Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. The original finish rates about 96% with just a small spot of finish loss where the mum was ground. Light spotty oxidation on the butt plate. The wood furniture is very nice overall, just minor bruises and scratches here and there and a few more noticeable gouges along the bottom edge of the butt stock. Mint bore.
