12/22/23 – This is an excellent condition, late WW2 production NCO Japanese sword. The sword comes with a metal scabbard that has a wooden insert. The blade itself has a few spots of light patina. The edge has no chips or signs of sharpening. There is a serial/lot number at the base of the blade on the right side that reads 13798, and two stamps on the handle look like possible arsenal markings (See Photos). Overall solid construction throughout, with the only real issue being the one dent in the scabbard, but it does not affect the sword’s ability to be sheathed.
