12/11/23 – This is an original WW2 production Type 30 bayonet. The bayonet is maker stamped by Kokura Arsenal on the blade. Cited in Labar’s book as LB-83 on page 110. The bayonet features a bright, fullered blade that’s clean and in near-excellent condition. Hooked crossguard. Contoured wood grips with 2 rivets, and a bird’s head pommel which is serial / lot numbered. Comes with a ball-tipped metal scabbard which is missing all of the original finish. There’s surface pitting throughout the scabbard as well, but still fits and functions without issue.
