12/4/23 – Up for sale is a rare version of the Lee Enfield rifles. This No1 Mk1 is the model that came before the famous No1 Mk3 SMLE. This rifle is unique compared to the No1 Mk3 and has a part of the charger bridge on the bolt head that lines up with the other half when the bolt is locked back. This rifle is a mismatched example. The metal on the rifle is in great shape and retains much of its original bluing but there are many spots with the finish worn away. The rifle has its original volley sights attached and a blank stock disk on the right side. The bore is dark but has good rifling. The rifle comes with a canvas sling and a pattern 1907 bayonet.
