11/29/23 – This is an original WW2 German canteen. The canteen is complete with metal cup / lid, and leather harness with belt clip. Unfortunately, the belt clip doesn’t keep tension and hangs loose. This is a relatively minor issue, and overall this example is in great condition. Very nice wool exterior with minimal surface wear. We didn’t remove the leather harness as the leather is very tight and doesn’t seem to have been moved in decades. All original, complete example.
