11/9/23 – This is an Arisaka Type 99 issued to the Japanese military during WW2. This one has a completely in tact mum stamp on the receiver. This series 35 weapon came from the Tokyo-Kogyo arsenal as indicated by the stamps on the left side of the receiver. The bolt is unmarked. Overall, it is in nice condition. There is some minor wear on the metal parts and the bluing rates about 90%+ On the wood stock, there is the typical “split” in buttstock area, but it is intact. The bore has good rifling and rates out 7 of 10. Smooth action and fully functional.
