11/3/23 – This is a very nice example of a Springfield M1 Garand. The serial number on the receiver dates to about August of 1943. The barrel is Springfield marked and dated September of 1943. The stock is an un-marked replacement. There is noticeable spotty wear on the barrel and gas tube. The rest of the finish is excellent. The stock is minty, but there are some minor bruises on the hand guards. The color of the stock and handguards do not match. Excellent bore with strong rifling. Muzzle reading: 2. Throat reading: 4.
