11/2/23 – This is an early WW2 production German Army Dagger. The dagger comes with an original scabbard and attached belt hanger. The dagger features a nickel plated blade that’s maker stamped on the backside by Robert Klaas. The blade shows some mild flaking of the finish in a few small areas on each side, but most of the shiny nickel finish is intact. There’s also some typical surface scratches and a few small chew marks along the edge of the blade. The hand guard and pommel are excellent with minimal surface patina and most of the original finish still intact. Excellent bakelite handle as well with no cracks or chips. Traces of finish are found throughout the scabbard, which is dent free and excellent overall. The hanger is in great overall condition with some mild wear and fraying of the green velvet underside, and some surface wear / patina throughout the metal fittings. No markings or stamps on the hanger.
