10/10/23 – This is an original 1918 dated US Bolo Machete by Plumb. The machete blade shows signs of sharpening and use, with some dark patina and surface rust forming along the edge and each side of the blade. There’s still some original finish intact throughout as well. Maker stamped “PLUMB PHILA 1918” on one side, and the other side is stamped “US MOD 1917”. The hand guard and pommel have dark patina and natural aging throughout. The wood handles are original and show signs of handling and age. Comes with an excellent, original scabbard that’s 1918 dated and maker stamped on the backside toe leather.
